Layaway Programs Online
Until the economy tanked, most people had either forgotten about or never heard of layaway programs. A program that looked like it had gone beyond the way of the horse and buggy. Well layaway in general and layaway online in particular have come roaring back into style to rescue both consumers and retailers alike.
As credit card limits have been slashed or done away with altogether, a serious problem started to occur. Retailers couldn’t sell and consumers couldn’t buy which is a dangerous situation in a consumer driven economy. From a retailers standpoint, inventory piles up and prices have to be slashed to move or returned. From a consumers standpoint, well, the poor just get poorer. Products can’t be purchased. Repairs can’t be made. Groceries become the priority and the new refrigerator, washer, dryer, those things just have to wait. There is simply no way to buy a high ticket item.
Now layaway on line has brought this program back into style. Many major purchases can be made through layaway from diamond jewelry and cars, to school clothes and computers. This has helped the account receivable for the retailers and has helped the budget of many a consumer.
