A PC Laptop Buying Guide

There are currently five different brands of PC laptops that are out there worth serious consideration from your wallet. It goes without saying that a Macbook would be a shiny new addition to your collection of fancy technological toys, but since it’s double the price of any comparable Personal Computer, I’m going to keep them out of this guide. If you have the money, than buy a Mac. The five brands you are going to be looking at are probably Hp, Dell, Toshiba, Sony, and Asus. These companies are all reputable and have been around for quite a while. Their products are fairly similar and they use a lot of the same hardware inside them. For example, Intel designs for all of these companies and their chips are in all of them. So which one will fit your current situation?

One thing to consider is battery life. Above all else, you want your laptop to work for you when you need it. If it runs out of battery in an hour, it might become quickly frustrating. HP batteries are a good choice since they last a long time and they don’t seem to have many problems like Mac batteries or other PC brands. They are not the longest lasting as that honor belongs to Asus, but Asus batteries are a little inconsistent. Sony seems to suffer in this area because their high-powered machines suffer from a shorter battery life. Toshiba has a fairly decent battery, but it has a rather short life that can definitely put you in a jam. The td347 dell battery is also a good choice and is comparable to the HP one.

This leads us to which laptop has the best graphics capability. Now if you are looking for value, Asus will give you the cheapest price for a laptop that will fulfill your needs, but if you are looking for bluray quality and excellent gaming, then Sony is your best bet. They have powerful machines that are more expensive, but they deliver. Dell has the best customization options for the advanced user.

When it comes down to it, you need to make the decision for what you want. Whether you are convinced about the pa3237u 1aca Toshiba power supply being the best and the cheapest, or you are salivating over that Bluray player on that Sony model, making a decision based on what you need and not what you want is always a good choice. There will always be new technology to drool over.
